Having grown up in small towns, Mike from St.Malo and Jackie from Grande-Pointe,
living in Winnipeg currently is very convenient but there's something to be said about
the beauty of nature and country living.
In order to have the best of both worlds and provide our children with the benefits of both,
we set out on a mission in 2007 to purchase land. Wanting to be just a short drive
out of the city to appeal to our future”camping clientele”, Mike searched on his travels
throughout the outskirts of the city. Being in the RV industry for over 25 years

and campers ourselves we knew this was a venture we were sure to enjoy.
July 2007, the 1st 72 acres was purchased! A few months later we purchased an additional
34 acres so we could have the entrance closer to Highway #1 as opposed to being on
Dawson Road as originally planned.
In 2008 Cripple Creek Campground was in the development stages, with May 1,2009
to be the opening day.
And so it was………….
